The Carriere® Distalizer™ is an orthodontic device developed to correct your bite without removing permanent teeth when they have erupted incorrectly. With an effect similar to headgear, but without the use of a bulky uncomfortable appliance, the Carriere Distalizer pushes upper teeth back to create a corrected bite prior to the addition of braces or Invisalign aligners.
How Does the Carriere® Distalizer™ Appliance Work?
First, Dr. Breha will create an anchor point, most commonly with a lower clear retainer. A Carriere Distalizer arm is then attached to the upper teeth on both sides of your mouth. An elastic band is attached from the upper bar to the lower back molars and should be worn at all times except when eating. This disciplined application of force creates the precise movement necessary to fix your bite.
With good elastic wear, your bite can be corrected in a matter of months, depending on the severity of your case.
Once we have established this optimal foundation, we seamlessly transition your journey to the next phase. We then place your custom braces or modern Invisalign® aligners to design the final tooth alignment, ensuring you achieve the ideal smile you have always imagined.

Wonderful experience
My daughter got her braces on today. The staff is very friendly and took their time answering questions. The appointment went very well and my daughter felt comfortable the whole time. She gets a little anxious during dental appointments, but they made her feel at ease.
