Your First Orthodontic Visit
What To Expect
Orthodontic treatment is a significant investment and has life-long implications. For this reason, Dr. Breha invite both parents or a spouse to attend the first consultation so that they can answer your questions and help you make a well-informed decision.
Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed by our administrative staff who will assist you with the check-in process and will then notify our new patient coordinator that you have arrived. One team member will escort you to a consultation room for your first visit with Dr. Breha.
At your first visit, a panoramic x-ray will be taken. This diagnostic x-ray along with a comprehensive clinical evaluation will provide fundamental information necessary for Dr. Breha to discuss your orthodontic needs and options.
During this visit, one of three outcomes will be determined:
- Treatment is needed now.
- Treatment is not needed at all.
- Treatment will be needed, but the timing is such that it should be delayed until appropriate growth and development or tooth eruption has occurred.
