"Please read fully!I went here for emergency tooth pain/permanent retainer removal that another orthodontist put on 20 years ago almost.Unfortunately because of my own bad dental hygiene. Dr. Breha was not able to pull the retainer because he doesn’t have numbing medication to do so & with their being a cavity there it would hurt.BUT, this is why I am giving him a 5 star review right here.1. He understood my mouth is sensitive after tooth pain & 2 recent surgeries & he was VERY VERY gentle, patient & understanding with me.2. He advised me on who could pull off my retainer. I explained to him I already talked to a few dentist & they said no. So Dr. Breha actually called 1 I talked to & now I am set up to get this retainer removed by someone who can also fix cavities.3. Because he was unable to actually work on my mouth, he didn’t charge me anything. Not even a pennyIts a shame he doesn’t have numbing medication because his gentle touch was the best I ever felt from a orthodontist or dentist. I would love to have this guy fix my mouth that I destroyed myself. But unfortunately he can’t.As someone who has had braces in the past. If I was looking for braces again. I would go here. Without hesitation, take ur children here. I saw several in the office in a short 30 minutes & they all looked so happy. Very opposite of what I experienced going to my orthodontist as a child.All the office ladies were so nice too.This place is probably top of the line care. Even if he could of taken the retainer off. It would of been $175 out the door for consultation & removal. I got quoted from another office at $325. Almost double. So he isn’t out here like the other dental folks acting like a used car salesman trying to milk u for every penny ur worth.Him taking the time to call a dentist for me today. Helped me more then he realizes. Thank you & upon leaving the office. I followed his recommendation on calling the dentist he talked to & telling them its an emergency: because of that they are not making me wait until 10/4/2024 they are squeezing me in on 9/27/2024"

"Took my son in at my dentist's recommendation to see if he needed a second round of braces (he's 17 and his teeth have shifted). Dr. McElhinney did a great job of explaining our options. He was upfront about explaining that he could straighten them but they would probably shift right back, and why, and suggested that since there was no functional issue that we might want to wait. I appreciate his honesty in not simply taking our money for a treatment that wasn't necessary and wouldn't "hold" anyway."

I loved that he saw both for a couple of years to monitor when it was time to get their braces on without charging me or suggesting any kind of "pre-braces" that were clearly not necessary. His treatments have worked wonderfully and within the time frames he predicted. I feel like he is honest, trustworthy and effective - and he does not over charge."
"Dr. Mac was always kind and professional, best of all my kids liked him. I went to three other area Orthodontist for opinions. Many wanted to do extractions. I wanted my kids to keep all of their teeth if possible. Dr Mac agreed and felt the two phases were better for my kids. I went to him because I was an orthodontic assistant for 8 years and knew what I wanted as an Orthodontist for my kids. Dr. Mac had Damon Brackets. Damon Brackets moved their teeth more efficiently and that means less appointments. The brackets are also better because kids get less decay around their bands as they get their braces off faster. The front desk always fit me in if my kids had an issue with their bands or wires. They were very communicative about the process. The dental assistants are very professional and the office is extremely clean! "I think I was 34 yrs old when I decided to get braces (Dr. Mac said he was putting them on me). I was already a fat married dad, and had no "vanity issues" to get my teeth straight! Dr. Mac is one that is always seeking perfection and rather than trying a new technique on a "real" patient, I (his sales rep) volunteered to be his guinea pig. In hindsight it was an awesome experience and he did an awesome job! From being in the industry for over 15 years......I know a good orthodontist from a bad one. Dr. Mac is ALWAYS investing his time and money into being a better orthodontist. He is a 1%'er. 99 out of 100 orthodontists do not seek new technology and just keep doing what they've always done. They are viewing Ortho as a way to make money, where Dr. Mac is looking to change peoples lives (in a positive way). "I have one child who completed treatment here and one currently receiving treatment. The office staff is helpful and friendly. The financial considerations are thoroughly reviewed and exactly as represented - no tricks or hidden fees. Dr. Mac has a good rapport with the kids and with his staff. It is sometimes hard to find appointment times that don't conflict with school, but that is my biggest complaint. I love the reward system for kids and the free (often fresh baked and HOT) cookie each time we visit is a nice touch!"

"We were initially refered from our general Dentist. My son had some issues and they want them looked at. Ever since we have been coming to Dr Mac, my kids have been excited to go. The staff connects with them and always remembers the details about their life and makes the experience personalized to their needs. I feel this is especially important for this service due to how long of a journey orthopedic work generally is. We were visiting Disney a few years ago when she was personally invited to apply to be a Disney princess. (she didn't do it). Our son had some medical issues involving MRI's and radiation treatments, Dr. Mac worked around his issues without complaint. Today he is a healthy freshman with a beautiful smile.
